RUNAWAY TEEN ADVOCACY
When a teen agrees to go to a runaway shelter, they make a healthy decision to seek support and start taking responsibility to resolve the problems they are experiencing.
I am H.E.R. partners with some of our local teen shelters to help advocate for these teens using fun activities including beauty events, career days, forums and the good old fashion, "girl talks".
We are committed to doing whatever it takes to grasp their attention to eventually bring them to the throne room of Christ and introduce them to His infinite mercies.
WOMEN'S PRISON MINISTRY
Incarcerated women are often at the end of a long, difficult road, one that has made them feel rejected, worthless, and hopeless. Struggling with deep pain and shame, most of these women have experienced physical abuse, sexual abuse, addiction, mental illness, or homelessness. Many are mothers. And because of their choices, they are separated from their children and families. Though they are in prison, they are not alone.
We walk alongside these women in our city's correctional facilities to offer hope, encouragement, and guidance along a new path—one that leads to restoration.
